Job Description

Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Facility Operations Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Maintain cleanliness and report deficiencies of all equipment
  • Assist in the operation of all spa departments as required
  • Maintain the facility in peak sanitary condition at all times              
  • Maintain locker rooms in a tidy manner, check and clean lockers when needed
  • Maintain toiletries in locker room vanities
  • Maintain linen inventory with regional laundry on a scheduled basis
  • Direct members/guests to appointments and assist them in every way possible
  • Assist members/guests with use of sauna, steam whirlpool etc.
  • Ensure stocking of all spa amenities and toiletries
  • Attend daily/weekly/monthly facility operations departmental communications meeting
  • Follow and ensure that all employees follow all safety procedures and practices
  • Ensure that employee is well versed in all spa operations (cross-trained)
  • Ensure guest/member satisfaction at all times by ensuring that safety and service is always the Spa's first priority
  • To carry out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Knowledge & Experience:

  • Physically fit and able to work well under pressure
  • Able to work well independently with little Supervision
  • Must be a team player and demonstrate organizational skills
  • To work laterally with departments to convey concerns and come to solutions
  • Able to understand the English language, both orally and written as well as speak the English language clearly so as to communicate with Colleagues and Guests
  • Must be able to make decisions individually and show problem solving ability


  • High School diploma
  • Previous experience is an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Physical Aspects of Position (Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to the following):

  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
  • Lifting - Under 20lbs 50% of Work Time
  • Carrying - Over 20lbs 10% of Work Time
  • Pushing - Over 100lbs 25% of Work Time
  • Describe Motions- Bending, standing, reaching, pulling, pushing, lifting, and kneeling
  • Work Environment - Exposure to chemicals
