Duties Include (but are not limited to):

• Adhere to Alberta health regulations
• Ensure that the quality and quantity of food prepared meets hotel standards
• Ensure that food waste and spoilage are kept to a minimum

Job Type / Category

Banff Park Lodge is seeking full time, summer students, interested in gaining experience in a hotel kitchen environment. Banff Park Lodge has different dining options to suit our guest needs and preferences. Guests can choose from fine dining in La Terrazza, the social atmosphere of the Terrace Lounge, the casual environment of Crave Mountain Grill, or in room dining. Banff Park Lodge also offers full banquet menus for special events, such as weddings, conferences, etc. Our food products are locally sourced and all meals prepared and created by Banff Park Lodge itself. We are looking for First Cooks and Second Cooks to join our kitchen team, flexibility to work day shifts, evening shifts, weekends and holidays is required.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

  • Is a team player, able to work in close conditions with several other people
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to go the extra mile to provide lasting memories for our guests
  • Prepares high quality food and follows superior sanitation standards
  • Physically capable of lifting and carrying heavy items and standing for long periods of time
  • Experience in hotel restaurant cooking is an asset
