My three years of professional communications experience has allowed me to work in a number of communications and marketing areas, from an agency to the provincial government. Working in these settings has allowed me to develop strong written and organizational skills while providing a range of comprehensive marketing and communications support and services to clients. My additional ten years of customer service experience have made me into team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong initiative to succeed. I also possess a proven ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced environments with a high degree of decision making skills.
I am currently working as a Content Marketing Specialist for a digital marketing agency and I believe that with my mix of digital agency content coordination and formal government communications experience, I can bring unique skills and abilities to benefit any organization. From creating and managing content to monitoring client social media profiles, my scope of work is diverse and my position requires that I possess effective time and project management skills. Working with a number of clients means that I have to work collaboratively and take challenges head-on, on a daily basis. My mix of traditional communications and digital content coordination experience has given me extensive knowledge on how to effectively write for multiple audience and platforms. I also have experience with publishing software and working knowledge of social media and web analytics. Within my current position, I am responsible for:
Monitoring, tracking, and reporting on traditional news media, social media, campaigns, and web analytics
Developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies
Writing and editing content for ad copy, social media, newsletters, webpages, and other communications products
Collaborating with clients and stakeholders to find opportunities for engagement and relationship building
