My name is Dayn Zambon and I am currently enrolled in the Tourism Studies Diploma program at Vancouver Island University, British Columbia located on the Nanaimo campus. I am currently looking for a Co-op position from May, 2018 to Mid-August, 2018. I am seeking to gain experience and learn new skills through your company.
I have a passion for the tourism industry as I love to travel, thrive off of human interaction, and have an overall devotion for the outdoors. I love to learn and I am eager to explore new lands and seek adventures that enrich my life. I always strive to share unforgettable experiences with those that I come across. I would not only bring a refreshing yet positive attitude but a smile that leaves any person happy. I am always looking to try something new and that is why I believe this would a great opportunity to meet new people, make great connections, and take myself one step closer to becoming who I want to be.
Throughout my educational history I have achieved great feats. I was an honor roll student all throughout high school and most importantly grade twelve at Ballenas Secondary School. Through my first year of post-secondary education I involved myself by becoming an active member of the Recreation and Tourism Association within Vancouver Island University. I also volunteered for Vancouver Island University annual Campus Rec Amazing Race and helped with planning and overseeing some of the activities that occurred throughout the day-long event. Being involved within my community means a lot to me, it lets me develop life long connections with my peers. When I'm not busy, photography and videography is a huge passion of mine. I also take part in running, hiking, and soaking up mother nature. When it comes to getting to know me, I am a very compassionate and hard-working person, putting others before myself and making sure everyone is included. My goal is to leave an everlasting impression with everyone I meet and to change the world one smile at a time
I have a gift for pleasing people and with that I have six years of customer service experience working in retail where going above and beyond to exceed expectations is my number one goal. I know I would be a great asset to your company and I would be absolutely overjoyed to claim a spot on your team.

Calgary, AB, Canada
I am an IT consultant by trade but am taking the year off to hopefully work in Banff. In the past I have taken a break from the travel (usually Sunday to Thursday every week) and when I do so I often like to work in other areas.
The most enjoyable job was the time I spent working for a wine boutique in Calgary. My business is customer service. I work with all kinds of people from interns to CEO's and make my living providing customer service. In the past these skill have transferred successfully to the service industry and I am hopeful to ply my skills in Banff this season.
Front Desk Receptionist
Sarnia, Ontario, Canada
My name is Daniel Stewart and I am applying for a receptionist position at a hotel, Banff, Canada during the months of May and August. I am currently studying Tourism and Travel at Fanshawe College in London, Ontario, Canada. One of the opportunities that my program offers me is a chance to work a coop job to advance my work experience in the hospitality industry and I would love to be able to do that in a hotel setting.
As a Tourism and Travel student at Fanshawe College, I am well aware of the skills that are required to work within a hotel’s atmosphere. Due to my access to the program, I know everything about engaging with customers in a professional and energetic way to make sure that the guests are receiving the best experience possible. I also know how to operate a hotel booking system by training with the hotel operating system called “Epitome”. Creating a multitude of potential situations that a hotel may present, I will be well prepared to prevent or sort out any customer issue that may occur. Within the hotel industry, I am well aware that responding to customer request via email is essential for pleasant customer service. Through practice from past experiences, writing professional, reliable and clear emails to the guests is another valuable trait that I am capable of preforming.
Besides the skills that I have acquired through my education at Fanshawe College, I have developed an outstanding work ethic from past work and travel experiences. Having four years of customer service experience in both a retail pharmacy and an amusement park, I am able to interact with a customer/guest in a positive and professional manner. If someone has an issue, I am able to determine the best approach available to make sure the individual is satisfied no matter the situation. During my travels around North America and Europe, I have achieved how to function independently with figuring out by myself how to solve any problem that may present itself. Traveling has also developed my passion for linguistics. I have been able to teach myself Swedish and I am currently studying several other languages such as French, German, Spanish and Portuguese. My love for languages positively effects how I work. In my past experiences, having general knowledge of someone else’s first language can greatly increase their experience making them feel valued. Not only that, but it also encourages me to continue to provide excellent service by looking forward to practicing my language skills with the guests.
